Job Description
Qualification and Experience:
• National Diploma /bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
• 5 years or more of project experience in engineering, construction and consulting.
• Proven track record in refurbishment, commercial, or institutional projects
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project and 3D modeling and CAD software
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• 5+ years in Construction & Consulting environment
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to align deliverables with client specifications.
Design & Compliance
• Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for compliance with SANS, NBR, and municipal bylaws.
• Ensure adherence to OHS Act and environmental regulations.
Construction Supervision
• Monitor on-site progress, quality control, and HSE standards.
• Resolve technical issues (e.g., structural conflicts, MEP coordination).
Contract Administration
• Manage GCC/JBCC/NEC contracts, variations, and claims.
• Conduct monthly valuations and progress reports.
Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, municipal authorities, and subcontractors.
