Job Description
Key Responsibilities for the role:
* Prepare accurate financial statements and maintain up-to-date trial balances
* Coordinate and process local payments and manage petty cash
* Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations (including provisions, accruals, tax, and depreciation)
* Manage debtors and creditors, reviewing reconciliations and balances
* Process monthly management journals and intergroup transactions
* Assist with budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting
* Review fixed asset register and account for depreciation
* Ensure tax compliance (VAT and payroll taxes) and liaise with SARS as needed
* Compile annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
* Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
* BCom in Financial or Management Accounting (articles completed)
* Minimum 1 year post-articles experience
* SAIPA registration – advantageous
* Proficiency in MS Excel (Draftworx and EpiCor advantageous)
* Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, income tax, and VAT
* Own transport required
