About the Role:
Join a leading mining operation as an Underground Mining Training Officer and play a key role in shaping a highly skilled, safety-driven drilling team. You’ll design, deliver, and evaluate training programs that meet strict industry standards while enhancing operational efficiency and workforce competency.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver technical, operational & safety training for underground core drilling teams
Ensure compliance with industry regulations & mine standards
Conduct risk assessments & integrate hazard management into training
Evaluate trainees’ skills & track progress via LMS
Update training materials with industry advancements
Collaborate with management & regulatory bodies
Promote a strong safety culture through simulation & practical learning
What You’ll Need:
Grade 12 / N3 (minimum)
Trade Certificate or Underground Blasting Ticket
Registered Assessor Certification (mandatory)
5+ years’ experience as a Training Officer in an underground mining environment
Strong knowledge of core drilling equipment
Valid EB / Code 8 Driver’s License
Bonus Skills:
Certification in Training & Development / National Diploma in Training
