About the Role
This is a dual role ideal for a technical fitter with management skills. You’ll be responsible for performing mechanical fitments and custom 4×4 upgrades while also leading the workshop team to ensure smooth operations, quality control, and timely project delivery. The Senior Workshop Technician will work on a wide range of vehicles and products, from suspension and snorkels to full custom builds and overland conversions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical fitments and install 4×4 accessories and gear
Handle repairs, upgrades, and diagnostic troubleshooting
Lead and manage the workshop team, job cards, and schedules
Ensure high-quality workmanship and time-efficient delivery
Oversees stock control and ensure tools/equipment are used correctly
Be involved in hands-on work and lead by example
Candidate Requirements
Skills & Experience
Qualified Technical Fitter with a strong mechanical background
Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in a 4×4 or mechanical workshop environment
Proven management or team leadership experience
Hands-on experience with 4×4 fitments, wiring, and accessories
Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
Proficient in reading technical diagrams and following detailed instructions
Skilled in automotive wiring
Genuine passion for the 4×4 lifestyle and off-road industry
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to delivering work of the highest standard
Be able to mount Shocks, Suspension, winches, extra fuel tank etc. to vehicles
Have the ability to install electrical components such as winches and Spotlights
Be able to do custom and electrical work to off-road trailers
Qualifications
Require one or more of the following:
Fitter and Turner Red Seal certification
Auto Electrician Red Seal certification
Diesel Mechanic Red Seal certification
Petrol Mechanic Red Seal certification
