Job Description
The purpose of a cheese maker is to create different types of cheese according to customer orders and preferences. This involves a thorough knowledge of the cheese-making process, the use of different ingredients, and the ability to precisely measure, mix, and combine ingredients to create a variety of flavors and textures. Cheese makers must also have a keen eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot when something goes wrong.
Cheese Maker Duties
Make cheeses using traditional methods and recipes
Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure cheese meets standard specifications
Set up and maintain cheese making equipment
Monitor storage conditions and aging processes
Keep records of production and inventory levels
Develop new and innovative cheese recipes
Train and supervise staff
