Job Description
ArjoHuntleigh South Africa is currently recruiting for a Service Technician, to work within and support the Western Cape and bordering provinces.
The position is available immediately.
Job Title: Service Technician Location: Cape Town Offices (Western Cape and bordering provinces)
Reporting: Administrative & Functional: Service Manager
Responsible for: Administrative & functional: Service Manager
Liaising with: Internally: Services Department, Management, Sales, Operations but not limited to these
Externally: All Arjo clients, but not limited to these
Position Description:
The Service Technician is required to support all Technical Service Functions in the Western Cape and bordering provinces. This will include but not limited to Fault-finding/troubleshooting & Repairs on all Arjo equipment. Maintaining strong customer relations is essential. High efficiency is required in call out turnaround times and in completing technical assessments, services & repairs to improve on customer satisfaction and maximize customer retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirement list below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Service & repair Arjo equipment to full working capacity.
• Schedule and attend service callouts
• Fill in and complete job cards for any service repairs, warranties or labour jobs completed
• Conduct service assessments in hospitals or as required by the technical consultants.
• Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in a timeous manner.
• Plan country trips to outline areas for the purpose of conducting assessments, repairs, and attending to service related queries.
• Maintain high levels of service and technical support to all customers
• Adequate stock control management for planned repairs and services.
• Complete warranty repairs and provide inspection reports to QRC
• Complete Job cards & daily activity reports on a daily basis.
• Execute service level agreements and extended warranties and keep clear track records
• Maintain company vehicle in good condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards on all Arjo products.
Qualification (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
• Strong technical and mechanical mindset.
• Basic computer literacy skills in MS Excel and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license (Code 08/EB) and PDP would be an advantage.
• Minimum experience in driving company vehicle of at least 2 years.
• Ability to work independently. Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of Arjo products will be an advantage
• Attention to detail.
• Customer Service Orientated.
• Organized.
• Must be available to work after hours on adhoc basis.
• Must be available to travel nationally when needed or required.
