Job Description

Purpose: To control inventory of stock to ascertain if it is the true reflection of stock holding.
Key Responsibilities:
Control Inventory of Stock:
• Count capacity – vacant space
• Count missing lines(sugar and bulk lines) and capacity at MERLOG
• Compare stock holdings and shunt(move stock from one location to another) in necessary and query discrepancies between actual stock and system stock on hand
for adjustments to be done in or out
• Check with picking supervisors, pickers and replenishment staff if they have any issues with stock
Queries IBT, buying:
• IBT queries
• Picking errors
• Check the line and compare physical and the system
• Check which line we have physically –paper, poly or plastic
• Document findings when you received and physical count and Notify buyer
IBT in:
• Query based on back orders
• Check transactions on that lines
• Check with returns supervisor
• Return supervisor to request store to do adjustment
Minimum Requirements:
• A matric certificate is essential
• 1 year relevant experience
• Microsoft office
• BoMM system
• WMS- Warehouse management system
• Warehouse experience( picking and replenishment)
• Computer literate
• Microsoft office proficiency
