Job Description

Since its inception over 3 decades ago, our client has become a well-known, respected, and reputable medium to large Civil Engineering Construction company built on the foundation of consistent delivery of projects to the highest standard of quality and professionalism.
They are currently looking to employ an HR Manager as part of their executive management team to work closely with the business unit leaders to ensure that HR programs and initiatives support the needs of the business, and to lead the HR team in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Job description / core competencies:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with business unit leaders to develop HR programs and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
Lead recruitment and selection efforts to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
Manage employee relations issues, including investigations and resolution of conflicts.
Oversee compensation and benefit programs to ensure market competitiveness and retention of top talent.
Develop and deliver effective training and development programs for employees at all levels.
Performance management co-ordination and administering of performance appraisals.
Improve organisational structure and organisational development.
Nurturing a corporate culture that boosts morale and encourages employee engagement.
Manage payroll and HR administration.
Location: Western Cape
Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Diploma / Degree in HR Management or relevant qualification.
10 - 15 years’ experience within a unionised construction or similar environment.
5 years’ experience in a managerial / leadership role
Proven working experience in Industrial Relations, with a focus on the construction industry.
Salary:
R 850 000,00 Annual
