Job Description
• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Valid PSIRA.
• Valid COC.
• Valid South African Driver’s License.
• 5 years plus driving experience.
• Safe driving record and clean criminal record
• Self-disciplined with high level of integrity
• Good English verbal and written communication skills
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supervision of the team on various plantations- day and night shift.
Incident reporting.
Site visits.
Crime scene handling.
Motor Vehicle Duties and Responsibility:
• Prepare vehicles for a trip.
• Perform vehicle inspection before and after the trip
• Takes full responsibility for the roadworthiness of the vehicle.
• Ensure routine maintenance for the vehicles of the Office.
• Ensure the cleaning of the vehicles, keep records of official travel, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, lubrication etc.
• Ensure that the formalities provided for in the regulations are met in the event of an accident.
• Clean driving record
• Basic mechanical skills and understanding of automotive operations.
• Excellent punctuality and reliability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adherence to SAPPI Driver policies and procedures.
