Job description
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

-A completed 4-year degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable, registered tertiary institution.
-An undisturbed minimum of 8 years of post-qualification.
-Registration with ESCA Professional Engineer: Civil is a basic requirement.
-Advanced knowledge and competence with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint & MS Project (Added advantage)
-Minimum 5 Years 'Experience in a Civil Engineering Consulting Firm.
-Vast Knowledge of Civil Engineering Drawing & Design Software packages (Civil Designer, Road Maker, Water Mate....etc).
-Knowledge of MS Projects software packages (e.g. MS Projects, Project Plan 365...etc)added advantage.
-Above average experience in operating/usage of AutoCad/Civil 3D is essential for this position.
-Knowledge of Civil Engineering & Construction Contract (GCC, JBCC, NEC, FIDIC...etc) and their application thereof.
-Ability to administer project contracts, and produce engineering/technical reports, and update on works status regularly and ad-hoc basis.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

-Mature and Professional demeanor
-Ability to work independently, unsupervised, and adaptable to work with complex teams from different cultures and backgrounds.
-Ability to communicate in English(fluently) & IsiZulu (above average)and any other SA official languages.
-Punctuality and excellent time management skills coupled with good leadership attributes.
-The incumbent must also be able to contribute meaningfully as part of professional teams for various projects simultaneously and assist with -various tasks as and when required. Research knowledge, construction materials specification, and basic cost/pricing of civil engineering projects will be an added advantage.
-The ability to work additional/extra hours will be an added advantage
