Senior Network Engineer

Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to based on site on a 12 month contract at a maximum of R45 000 per month. Applicants must have a clear criminal record, valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle. all applicants must be available immediately.

Expertise Requirement

Checkpoint Firewalls HP/Aruba networking equipment, wired and wirelessSolid grounding on routing protocols and low level networking concepts (OSI model)Good communicatorUnderstanding and knowledge of VPN technology and remote workingUnderstanding and knowledge of SD-WAN technology Some exposure to O365 technology, not limited to Exchange Online onlyNice to haveAbility to do scripting in PowerShellNice to haveSome knowledge and understanding of PKI, AD, AAD and Mimecast Nice to have

Some daily duties would include:·
Administer network with some team members;Monitor or setup alerting and react to network outages;
Perform system upgrades on network equipment as required;
Assist in design work;
Security and Vulnerability remediation work where required in the network space; and
Be an SME of things network
