Job Description

Department: Finance & Accounting

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Group Accountant

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial reports from various business units.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.

Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, identifying and explaining variances.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.
Monitor aging reports and manage collections to optimize cash flow.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
