Position: Systems Business Analyst

Location: Cape Town

Working Scenario: Onsite

About the role: Seeking a Systems Business Analyst in Cape Town. In this role, you wiIl be the bridge between different parts of the company, like IT, business teams, and external vendors. You'll use your skills to recommend improvements, like new software or better workflows, that help the business achieve its goals. You must have at least 2 years of experience working in Apparel Retail, both on the business side an with computer systems. You must have experience with UML and basic SQL.

Responsibilities:
• Analysing: You’ll talk to different people across the company to understand their needs and how they currently work. You'll then document these needs clearly and get sign off.
• Planning: You'll develop a plan for how to implement the improvements, including how to train people and test the new system or process.
• Designing: You'll work with different teams to design the best solution, considering both internal systems and any external software involved.
• Development & Deployment: You'll monitor the development of the solution and make sure everything runs smoothly. Once it's ready, you’ll help roll it out to the business and ensure everyone is comfortable using it.
• Maintenance: You’ll hand over the new system or process to the team that will use it every day and make sure they have everything they need. You'll also keep an eye on new technologies that could be beneficial in the future.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate/ Matric
• A relevant Degree and or Higher National Diploma (Information Technology, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business studies, Information Systems, Business Analyst)
• At least 2 years of experience working in Apparel Retail, both on the business side and with computer systems.
• Experience with understanding business needs, improving workflows, and writing clear documentation.
• Experience working with IT teams and vendors to implement new systems.
• A good understanding of how to test systems and manage projects.
• Experience training people on new systems and processes. Knowledge of different computer programs and how they work together.
• System Architecture understanding (area specific - integration environment/technical competency)
• Unified Modeling Language (UML High-level context diagram, Product Breakdown Structure, System Architecture diagram, Flow Chart, Business Workflow diagram, Business Process Model and Notation, Use Case diagram, Use Case Narrative)
• Basic Oracle / Structured Query Language (SQL) - Area specific
