Junior Graphic Designer

A well established retail business is seeking a full-time Junior Graphic Designer (Durban-based) for an on-site role at our support centre. The graphic designer will be responsible for developing, designing, and executing various design projects to support our retail activity. If you are passionate about visual design and communication and like to tackle challenges that require both creativity and analytical thinking, then you may be interested in applying.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute creative concepts that align with branding strategies
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills to multitask multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A portfolio with demonstrable abilities in branding, marketing, and other design projects
• A degree or diploma in graphic design / visual communication is advantageous, but not a requirement if you are able to show proof of your creative ability and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite through your portfolio.

Key responsibilities
• Provide support to the marketing team in the form of creating required marketing material. So, you have got to be a team player.
• Bring fresh ideas and creative trends into our team.
• Create visually appealing and on-brand graphics for digital and print materials. These include, but are not limited to web banners, social media content, instore signage, packaging, flyers, leaflets, posters and internal and external communications.
• An ability to colour correct and deep etch images for our website.
• Prepping material for print (we will teach the skills required here).
• Work across teams and be adaptable in the requests made in a dynamic work environment.
