Job Description
Powder Metallurgical Fabrication
Relocation to Romania, Europe
Permanent
Based in Romania, our client is a prominent producer of engineered products for the automotive industry. With a medium-sized global presence, they have established a far-reaching impact and earned multiple awards for their innovative processes and high-quality production.
As the Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing plant systems and equipment. The position requires active participation in the commissioning of new machinery, analyzing potential improvements to enhance efficiency, and ensuring the necessary parts are ordered and available.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience within a Powder Metal and Sinter environment
Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
Knowledge of Lean Management, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), VSM (Value Stream Mapping) is advantageous.
SAP knowledge.
Mechanical and pneumatics knowledge is an advantage.
Experience in electrical field work, including reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of programming and troubleshooting PLC systems (Siemens S5/S7, Omron, Eurotherm, Beckhoff).
Experience in metal fabrication and machining processes (2-3 years preferred).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and optimize plant systems and equipment.
Plan electrical repairs and modernization activities within the facility to enhance machinery reliability.
Write work instructions to provide a clear description of the tasks.
Analyze and evaluate opportunities for improvement in cost, quality, and lead time to boost process efficiency.
Participate directly in the commissioning of new machinery.
Identify and propose new methods for reducing production line costs, labour time, and scrap.
Order and secure the necessary parts for the area of responsibility.
Provide periodic backup support for PLC and CNC programmable logic control machines.
