Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair faults in engines and parts by inspecting, testing and listening for malfunctions.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles, including changing oil, checking batteries and adjusting safety devices.
• Maintain accurate records of identified faults, repairs, parts used and preventative maintenance checks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent, with a qualified Diesel Technician certification and a minimum of 3 years' post-Trade Test experience.
• Basic auto electrical knowledge, familiarity with forklifts and frontend loaders and a Code 8 driver's license (Code 14 preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, under pressure, long hours, including weekends when required.
• Proficiency in health and safety procedures, advanced diagnostic techniques and repair methods, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
Salary: R15k – R20k per month
