We are seeking an experienced Professional Architectural Technologist to join a close-knit development team. This role offers the opportunity to manage multiple projects from proposal through to construction, making a significant impact on design and development process.

Key Responsibilities:

Measurement & Scoping: Accurately measure and scope buildings to create detailed drawings that adhere to the company and specifications
Creative Design: Utilize a creative and innovative approach to design with meticulous attention to detail to deliver outstanding results
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all drawings and plans comply with National Building Regulations (SANS) and other statutory construction requirements for retail premises
Collaboration: Work closely with team members, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
Council Submissions: Manage and submit construction and signage drawings for council approval nationwide, liaising with key stakeholders to secure occupation certificates.
Local Authority Expertise: Utilize solid experience with local authority submissions and navigate regulatory processes effectively.
Site Research: Conduct thorough research on relevant factors affecting site development

Experience, Education, & Skills:

Degree in Architecture or a related field
SACAP Registration is mandatory
5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist - retail environment would be an added bonus!
Proficiency in Revit LT is required
Familiarity with council legislation, policies, and procedures is essential
Skilled in managing multiple projects through all phases from proposal to construction
Experience in preparing costings, schedules, and project documentation
Advanced understanding of the architectural design process and the integration of interior architecture, with the capability to develop interior design elements
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as necessary.
