Plumbing Installation Technician - Johannesburg
Job purpose: Installation and maintenance of toilets including modifications to water reticulation and drainage systems
Minimum requirements:
• Trade Tested experienced Plumber
• Matric
• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in large shopping centres or high rise building
• MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook literate
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to meet deadlines in challenging circumstances
• Willing to work after hours and weekends as required
• Willing to travel across SA with occasional nights away from home
• Valid unendorsed SA Driver’s Licence and own bakkie
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Strong communication skills including report writing and ability to make recommendations
Key accountabilities:
1. Carry out standard procedures as follows:
o Installation of new toilets including modifications to water reticulation & drainage systems.
o Installation of above ground drainage systems.
o Identify and manage the project’s material requirements.
o Manage the movement of stock and tools through a project.
o Manage the time & labour requirements for your team to ensure projects remain on schedule.
o Adhere to OHS Act health and safety procedures.
o Fault diagnostics and correction/resolution.
o Assist with installation solutions based on detailed site plans and
o Commissioning
2. Support the SA business in all things
Drive change through ongoing reporting to the business during and on completion of the job follow up with job reporting
3. Follow company processes on stock management including usage, shrinkage, and
4. Feedback and assist to improve documentation and regularly review and update based on experience.
Salary offer: R43K per month
