Job Description

Logistics Planning and Coordination:

Plan and coordinate the packaging and logistics of all completed components or machinery to maximize the logistic strategy for ongoing projects (road/sea/air freight).
Collaborate with project managers and factory managers for both local and international equipment.
Crating and Palletizing Solutions:

Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to provide standard or custom crating/palletizing solutions.
Ensure suitable protection for goods in transit within allocated budgets, reducing wastage.
Documentation and Inventory Management:

Compile detailed lists of all packed goods with necessary photographs, drawings, and weights of all associated parts.
Ensure correct sealing and labeling of crates, boxes, and pallets for proper allocation to projects.
Factory Storage Optimization:

Organize factory storage space alongside the factory manager to maximize floor space while goods remain on the premises.
Reduce movement of finished goods to avoid unnecessary handling.
Freight Service Negotiation:

Negotiate with freight service providers to meet project contract requirements and master project plan timelines.
Plan packing/loading windows to meet shipment dates, including smaller parcels/packages from various suppliers.
Load Planning and Monitoring:

Pre-plan loads to allow mirror loading of goods into containers or trucks.
Keep the factory manager updated to ensure sufficient planning time.
Oversee and monitor the loading of goods, taking necessary photographs and reporting any damage to senior management.
Export and Import Management:

Oversee fumigation certification and container sealing for export shipments.
Advise the factory in advance of shipment arrivals, allocate space for unpacking and storing received goods, and check goods against delivery notes.
Paperwork Management:

Manage all associated paperwork for shipments, including import/export documentation, taxes or duties, packing lists, delivery notes, and invoices.
Ensure all original paperwork is filed in the correct master project file.
Tracking and Reporting:

Track and report shipment progress to the projects/management team regularly.
Liaise with customers' shipping agents to provide administrative paperwork for smooth clearance and delivery of shipments.
Keep clients updated on shipment status and highlight any schedule changes.
Flexible Working Hours:

Work outside of normal hours as needed to ensure loads are correctly packed, strapped, and covered.
