Job Description
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in instructional design, education, psychology, or a related field is required.
• Previous experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or training roles is required. Familiarity with both instructional theories and technological tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Needs Analysis: Assess the learning needs of the target audience to ensure that training or educational goals are aligned with organisational objectives.
2. Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculum and content for various learning formats, such as online courses, instructor-led training, workshops, or blended learning programmes.
3. Course Design: Create detailed course structures, including learning objectives, assessments, activities, and multimedia resources (e.g., videos, simulations, and interactive content).
4. Instructional Strategies: Apply proven instructional theories and methodologies to optimize learning outcomes, such as ADDIE (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate)
5. Content Creation: Develop course materials, presentations, e-learning modules, quizzes, and job aids, ensuring content is clear, engaging, and accessible.
6. Technology Integration: Use authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to design, deliver, and track training. Familiarity with tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Moodle is required.
7. Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, adjusting content as needed to improve learning outcomes.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and other team members to ensure content quality and relevance.
