Qualifications / Requirements:
• Minimum N3 Mechanical /Electrical Engineering
• Trade Test Certificate Motor Mechanic.
• Valid Master Technician qualification at dealer level
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an aftersales workshop environment
Essential:
• Must be High Voltage Technician
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Have a sound up to date knowledge of commercial vehicle products
• Be capable of working without supervision to high safety and quality standards
• Have proven technical knowledge and its applications and be able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
• Be flexible when required to work overtime at short notice
• Be in possession of an un-endorsed driver’s license (minimum old Code 08)
Key Performance Areas:
• Servicing and repair passenger commercial vehicles
• All electrical repairs on commercial models
• Ensure road safety through quality workmanship
• Stay abreast of development by reading workshop bulletins and workshop manuals
• Ensure that workshop regulations and safety are adhered to
• Maintain a clean working area
• Training allocated apprentices
• Assist with preparing vehicles for press launches
• Fitment of required accessories to our models
• Ensure that all work carried out in the workshop or by the appointed supplier is of the required quality
