Job Description

The Company: Robshaw Property
Role Name: Bookkeeper
Location: Claremont, Cape Town

ROLE SUMMARY:
The individual will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of tenants and landlords as well as commission to be paid to the business and agents. The role will require communicating with agents, suppliers, landlords, and other third parties to obtain the required statements and figures. The role includes processing transactions, reconciling and balancing accounts, notifying agents of, and following up on, late payments and notifying agents of expiring leases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Record daily financial transactions.
● Request supporting documents for data capture
● Follow up on outstanding supporting documents
● Invoicing of tenants and debtor management.
● Setup of new property/lease details on rental management system
● Process invoicing and manage creditors.
● Monthly payment to Landlord & Utility companies and preparing of monthly statements
● Ad hoc payment to contractors & vendors
● Perform client account reconciliations upon request.
● Assist with financial audits as needed.
● Assist directors with related admin tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
● 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or general finance.
● Strong data entry skills and high attention to detail.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
● Ability to produce accurate work with a high level of professionalism and organization.
● Self-motivated and driven with strong time-management skills.
● Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in an online environment.
● Assertive and confident manner.

RELEVANT EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
● 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or general finance.
