The Academic Monitoring Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with higher education regulations, accreditation processes, and quality assurance standards. The role involves coordinating internal reviews, overseeing regulatory submissions, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:
Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education Management.
A minimum of 5 years in higher education accreditation and compliance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of South African higher education regulations.
Project management and organizational skills.
Data analysis and reporting proficiency.
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Accreditation & Compliance
Manage compliance and regulatory tasks.
Prepare and submit reports to relevant higher education authorities.
Oversee accreditation applications and regulatory reviews.
Conduct internal regulatory compliance assessments.
Coordinate site visits and liaise with accreditation bodies.
Ensure timely responses to compliance queries.
Quality Assurance & Institutional Review
Monitor the implementation of quality management systems.
Train staff on compliance requirements.
Track adherence to academic and operational deadlines.
Review institutional policies and procedures.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for quality improvement.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Develop and implement quality assurance tools.
Coordinate data verification and reporting.
Monitor progress on quality enhancement initiatives.
Support curriculum mapping and review.
Track implementation of improvement plans.
