Boilermaker Facilitator - Technical Training Centre - Secunda

Our client is currently looking for a boilermaker facilitator to join their Technical Training Centre in Secunda

Curriculum Delivery:
Teach theoretical concepts of boilermaking, including blueprint reading, welding techniques, metal fabrication, and safety procedures.
Lead practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises in the workshop, covering tasks like cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding of metal components.
Explain the proper use of specialized tools and equipment used in boilermaking.

Student Assessment and Evaluation:
Monitor student progress through regular assessments, including practical demonstrations and written tests.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and identify areas needing improvement.
Evaluate student competency against industry standards to ensure readiness for certification.

Safety Oversight:
Enforce strict safety protocols within the workshop, ensuring students follow proper safety procedures while working with welding equipment, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials.
Address safety concerns promptly and provide necessary safety training.

Industry Relevance:
Stay updated on current industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in boilermaking to incorporate relevant knowledge into the training program.
Foster connections with industry partners to provide potential job opportunities for graduates.

Mentorship and Support:
Provide individual guidance to students based on their learning needs and challenges.
Encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in the learning process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Certified Boilermaker:
Proven experience as a qualified boilermaker with a recognized trade certificate.
Teaching and Facilitation Skills:
Ability to effectively deliver training sessions, explain complex concepts clearly, and manage a classroom environment.

Technical Expertise:
Thorough understanding of welding techniques, blueprint reading, metal fabrication processes, and boiler system components.
Safety Awareness:
Deep knowledge of occupational safety standards related to boilermaking and welding practices.

Communication Skills:
Excellent ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to students.
