Architectural Technologist/ Architect

Drafting and Design: Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional drafting techniques. This includes floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements, design intent, and technical specifications. Collaborate on design modifications and improvements as needed.

Code Compliance: Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements. Stay updated on relevant building codes and regulations.

Materials and Specifications: Select appropriate materials and components for construction based on project requirements, budget constraints, and industry standards.

Accuracy and Quality: Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in all drawings and plans. Review and revise drawings as necessary to meet project standards.

Documentation: Create and maintain a comprehensive set of project documents, including drawings, revisions, and design changes. Organize and archive project files for future reference.

A higher certificate, degree or diploma in architectural drafting, architecture, or a related field is typically required.
Proficiency in computer-aided design Revit specifically
Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and building materials.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in drafting work.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
