Job Description

Location: Durban
We are looking for a reliable Stock Controller Assistant and experienced in any automative parts/ heavy machinery to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing safe and effective duties in line with company procedures and work hand in hand with procurement in placing orders and to improve stock procedures of the company. The candidate will also be responsible for tracking stock levels and ensure that, supplies are sufficient to meet the demand of customers.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Keeping track of stock and inventory, and using data processing systems to record them.
• Accepting deliveries, verifying and shipping goods, and arranging them in the storage area.
• Organizing regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.
• Ensuring safety and security in the storage area and using transport equipment correctly.
• Regular cycle counts and yearly stock counts.
• Responsible for stores safety, security and cleanliness and ensuring stores are well maintained with correct labels and locations
• Responsible for distributing/dispatch parts to the various sites and technicians.
• Keep record /spreadsheet off all parts requests for technicians/branches -if no stock is available. The stock controller has to liaise with procurement to order.
• Communicate weekly reports on stock levels, expected deliveries and any issues to the relevant departments
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
• Manage control measures to ensure inaccuracies and discrepancies are addressed where appropriate.
Requirements
• High School certificate or equivalent in supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience and knowledge with heavy equipment machinery parts.
• Knowledge of inventory system for scheduling and dispatch duties.
• 2 years of stock controlling experience preferably within a business service environment.
