Draughtsperson - Civil and Roads

My client is a proudly South African consulting engineering firm headquartered in Pretoria.
They require a Senior Draughtsperson or Team Lead in the commercial and industrial sectors. with a strong background in Civil and Roads engineering to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings, designs, and models for various civil and road projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and modify drawings, designs, and models for civil and road projects, including but not limited to:
- Road designs and layouts
- Stormwater drainage systems
- Sewerage systems
- Civil structures (bridges and culverts)
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to create and edit drawings and models
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings and designs
- Conduct site visits to gather information and verify design accuracy
- Develop and maintain drawing standards, templates, and libraries
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior draughting staff
- Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and industry standards

Requirements:

- Diploma or Draughting
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil and road draughting
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Strong understanding of civil and road engineering principles and practices
- Excellent drawing and design skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Experience with other CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit )
- Knowledge of GIS and spatial analysis
- Certification in CAD software or related field
