Job Description

Location: Cape Town (onsite)

Main role: Develop creative and function al digital experience for products

Qualifications:
• Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Willingness to learn Knowledge of design systems and component libraries
• Experience with user research methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in UI/UX design for digital products
• Strong portfolio showing UI design and UX thinking across various platforms
• Skilled in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar experience with prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Principle, ProtoPie)
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, layout, colour theory & visual hierarchy
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
• Excellent communication skills & ability to clearly articulate design decisions
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities & attention to detail
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Open to feedback and able to iterate on designs
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Passion for creating exceptional user experiences
Duties:
• Create user-cantered designs by understanding business requirements, user feedback & app metrics
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes & mock-ups that lead to intuitive user experiences
• Design UI elements and components that can be used across multiple platforms
• Develop & maintain design systems to ensure consistent implementation
• Collaborate with product managers & engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction & visuals
• Conduct user research & evaluate user feedback to enhance user experience
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
