Job Description

Garden Service & Maintenance Manager
Location: Pretoria
Remuneration: R 17 000 – R 20 000 (Based on experience)
Starting date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Garden Service and General Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our gardens and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of gardeners and maintenance staff, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
*Team Management*:
 Supervise and manage a team of gardeners and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent performance.
*Garden Maintenance*:
 Oversee the maintenance of gardens, including planting, pruning, watering, and fertilizing.
*Facilities Maintenance*
 Ensure that all facilities, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure, are well-maintained and in good working order.
*Customer Service*:
 Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
*Quality Control*:
 Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all areas are well-maintained and meet quality standards.
*Budgeting and Cost Control*:
 Manage budgets and control a cost, ensuring that all maintenance and gardening work is completed within budget.
*Administrative Tasks*: Complete administrative tasks, including reporting, record-keeping, scheduling, quotations and invoicing.

Requirements
 Valid driver’s license and experience with reversing with a trailer
 Diploma or degree in horticulture or a related field is an advantage.
 Proven experience in maintenance, gardening, or a related field.
 Proven experience in managing teams, including supervising, training, and developing staff.
 Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
 Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
