Job Description

Operations Supervisor

Our Client is a highly respected service provider to hospitals in and around the Western Cape.
They offer a critical service in the medical waste sector.

Due to ongoing expansion, they now need to appoint an Operations Supervisor to supervise and co-ordinate day to day activities related to finance & administration, stores and workshop, and employees both in the Head Office and on-site at various locations around the Western Cape. The role is also responsible for assisting with projects such as the installation of new machinary on-site at client premises as well as building and sustaining effective relationships with hospital management. This role involved travel in and around the Western Cape and other provinces.

Key responsibilities include:
Finance & Administration:
Ensure the accuracy of information across all accounting and administration processes and systems by:
• Monitoring input to payroll and outsourced accounting service provider
• Monitoring invoicing and data capturing activities on Xero
• Managing all correspondence with clients
• Reviewing and recommending improvements to existing systems and processes to reduce operational

Storeroom & Workshop
Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the stores and workshop by:
• Reviewing existing planning and maintenance schedules and recommending improvements
• Monitoring the activities of the maintenance technicians and providing guidance
• Overseeing the management of stock levels to ensure optimal levels are maintained
• Basic costing and local purchasing of equipment and consumables
• Implement root cause investigations and preventive action when problems occur
• Identify ongoing machinery and equipment needs
• Oversee and maintain equipment and ensure it is always in good working order, including preventive maintenance

Client Operations
Ensure the highest levels of service are provided to our client on-site by:
• Actively supervising the offsite operations at client premises
• Oversee and support the planning and deployment of staff on a rotational shift basis at client premises.
• Travel to all client sites regularly as agreed with management, to meet with key customer contracts, review operations and staff, and provide recommendations for any improvements.
• Oversee staff are equipped with the required PPE and consumables at all times.
• Manage leave for all on-site staff members and maintain accurate and up to date leave records.
• Attend meetings with hospital management as and when required to review staff and activities, and resolve any issues which arise from time to time.

People Management
• Ensure all finance, administration and operations staff understand their roles and functions, and are trained to perform optimally
Salary:
R 23 500,00 Monthly
