Job Description

Job Title: Financial Planner / Estate Planner

Location: Johannesburg

Job Summary: A Financial Planner provides clients with comprehensive financial advice, helping them achieve their financial goals through effective planning and management of their finances. This role involves analysing clients' financial situations, developing tailored financial plans, and offering guidance on investments, insurance, retirement, and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct thorough assessments of clients' financial statuses, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and risk tolerance.
· Develop personalized financial plans addressing clients' objectives, such as retirement planning, education funding, tax optimization, and wealth accumulation.
· Provide expert advice on investment strategies, insurance products, and estate planning to meet clients' needs.
· Monitor and review clients' financial plans regularly, adjusting strategies in response to changes in financial markets or personal circumstances.
· Stay informed about financial products, tax laws, and market trends to offer up-to-date advice.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring trust and satisfaction.
· Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
· Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is highly preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning or advisory roles.
· In-depth knowledge of financial products, investment strategies, tax laws, and regulatory requirements in South Africa.
· Proficiency in financial planning software and tools.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
