Job Description

The Head of Advisory Services is responsible for leading the advisory team and overseeing the delivery of strategic advice to clients.
This role involves managing client relationships, developing advisory strategies, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of advisory
services, and driving the growth and performance of the advisory department.

Leadership and Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of advisors to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the advisory team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for team – monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
• Ensure team adheres to standardized set processes.
• Develop collaboration strategies with other BU heads to drive client growth and satisfaction.
• Provide accurate reporting, with data analysis monthly.
• Use of client data to drive team initiatives to achieve results.
• Drive results in quality referrals of ESD & Skills
• Identify areas of client risk and proactively escalate within the Exco team.
• Provide ongoing recommendations to management on areas of improvement across the advisory landscape.
• Promote client retention through own and teams’ quality of advisory services.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of advisory reports, gap analysis, and other deliverables.
• Ensure quality is held at the required standard through review of all new clients’ strategic plans and ad hoc reviews of
existing client reports and seeking guide and expertise of Technical Committee where necessary.
• Be a part of the Technical Committee including effective participation and fulfilment of allocated tasks.

Advisory Consultant
• Develop and implement effective advisory strategies that align with clients' goals and objectives.
• Advisory on the system to ensure the best B-BBEE score as well as B-BBEE (on-site and remote).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored advice.
• Analysis of financial, supply chain, skills development, and payroll information to determine the clients’ adherence. to
regulatory requirements and to determine risks and confirm gaps.
• Monitor implementation of Strategic Plans and provide feedback on B-BBEE scores, improvements, and risks.
• Pre and Post Audit file reviews.
• Audit Support Services.
• Meet monthly, quarterly and annual referral targets on Impact services
• Meet all performance metrics monthly.
Reporting to
• Reports to the Head of Operations.

Qualification Requirements
• Relevant Degree
• MDP
• Expert B-BBEE legislation knowledge

Experience and Attributes Required
• Min 5 years’ experience in managing portfolios of clients in the SaaS B-BBEE industry and/or as verification analyst
• In-depth understanding of different sector codes
• Deep expertise in B-BBEE legislation
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in creating and leading subject matter advisory and support teams to deliver on B-BBEE
compliance requirements.
• Track record in building structured advisory processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong track-record and ability to lead, build and scale advisory and support teams
• High EQ, ability and experience to work across matrix team leverage and drive a client centric organization
• Ability and experience in problem solving, designing, implementing, finetuning, improving and building client advisory
and support processes, structures, methodologies
• Training, teaching and mentoring teams in using CRM (SalesForce) and other tools and platforms
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in business English
• Good working experience in Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint and other CRM and relevant sales & marketing
tools and platforms
• Proven track record meeting client retention targets and creating cross selling opportunities, ideally in SAAS
environments
