Job Description
Requirements:
Must have previous maintenance experience.
Must have previous administration experience.
Must have valid driver's license.
Matric Qualification is essential.
Due to the nature of the position the position would suit a male.
The General Maintenance Office Assistant will be responsible for general building and machinery maintenance as well as allocated driving duties.
Maintenance:
Repairs and maintain the office building any other related premises including inter alia the following; borehole, pumps, generator, diesel tanks and bowzers.
Assist and coordinate minor renovations
Assist and coordinate filling of generator, tanks & bowzers with diesel
Checking and controlling of maintenance equipment and stock in the workshop
Assist with the Supervision of General workers to ensure the maintenance and cleaning of the grounds
Company vehicles:
Assist with vehicle maintenance such as registration, tyre rotation, services, etc.
Ensure travel log is kept updated and filed when using a company vehicle
Ensure company vehicles are clean and neat
Report any accidents, incidents or damage to company vehicles
Assist Office Administrator with monitoring and controlling of company vehicles service dates
Driving:
Perform all reasonable tasks allocated and requested as a Driver
Assist with the collection of post
Daily collections and deliveries as requested
Assist with monthly and daily payments and purchases as required with company credit card
Transport of staff as required
Co-ordinate Standard Bank stamping of documents required for Contracts department
Administration:
Assist Office Administrator with adding or deleting of staff access codes
Assist with capturing of milk control sheets
Assist with updating diesel usage sheets for monthly control purposes
Car wash:
Move vehicles to and from car wash bay as required
Car wash list to be managed for bookings and accurate payment deductions
Ensure smooth running of car wash
Purchasing:
Assist Office Administrator with purchasing or placing orders of goods
Accurate record keeping of purchase slips to be recorded in credit card book and signed off
Housekeeping:
Ensure hygiene standards are maintained at all times
Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
Assist Office Administrator with supervision of cleaning team and their performance checks
Special Projects:
Assist with special projects assigned by Management
Assist Office Administrator with arrangements for special events and/or functions
