Job Description

This position entails examining – by using bespoke applications - a variety of types of electronically and paper-based (digitized) information for the purpose of determining whether these are relevant to a specific case. It requires legal professionals to carefully examine the data for relevance, privilege, and potential evidentiary value. Review platforms and software are used to facilitate efficient and thorough analysis of the documents, allowing for keyword searches, tagging, and categorization of the data.
Responsibilities
It is required that the Reviewer – meaning Attorney, fully understands the application being used as well as the individual matter’s project scope and workflow process – on which thorough training will be provided. The work is performed with, and at the direction of our clients, and their clients assigned in-house counsel and/or outside merits counsel which also may entail interaction with the clients and witnesses as facilitated by our direct client. It is further required to exercise legal judgment during the review of each document as to issue spot and issue tag each document (via an online system) in accordance with individual matter specifications.

As to each document, the Attorney may be required to make subjective comments as to the relevance or importance of individual documents. In addition, where appropriate to do so, an Attorney will exercise legal judgment to conduct a privilege review and perform related redaction.

Qualifications: LLB and admitted as Attorney with relevant experienced gained at a Legal firm.
