Diesel Mechanic

Ou will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered mining equipment. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery critical to our mining operations. This role will be based in Ventersdorp, North West. You will be expected to start immediately upon appointment.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and braking systems.
Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on heavy mining equipment (e.g., haul trucks, loaders, excavators and yellow machines).
Conduct inspections and safety checks in accordance with OEM and site standards.
Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards.
Collaborate with maintenance planners, supervisors, and other trades.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualification and Skills Requirements:
Valid Red Seal Certification as a Diesel Mechanic.
Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in mining or heavy industry equipment.
Strong knowledge and vast experience in yellow machines will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mobile equipment systems.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
