DATABASE SPECIALIST
Location: Pretoria East
Total Cost to Company: R700k - R800k per annum

Grading System: D3 Middle Management/Professionally Qualified

Job Purpose The purpose of the job is to lead the integration and management of digital systems, particularly the SARITA database in ensuring data accuracy and compliance with certification and legislative requirements, providing strategic support to the Technical Operations Manager, enabling data- driven decision-making through analysis and reporting, coordinating ICT activities and stakeholder engagement, overseeing ongoing system development with Farm Trace, and enhancing value to the scientific community by facilitating controlled data access.

• Farm Trace Champion
• SARITA System Support and Training
• Certification Stock and Courier Logistics
• Reporting and Analytics
• ICT Asset and Website Coordination
• Administration Support

A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or relevant National Diploma in the related field, with at least 5 years of proven experience in one of the core disciplines, advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), data basing, and management; demonstrate financial and business acumen, basic statistical and scientific language competence; and ideally have experience with Power BI, MS SQL, WordPress, MS Forms, MS Sway, knowledge of OHS legislation, potato production, and Afrikaans language skills.
