Minimum Entry Requirements:
Requirement Details
Education
Grade 10 or NQF Level 2 qualification (minimum)
Mathematics
Basic numeracy and literacy are required; mathematics at the grade 10 level is advantageous.
Disability People with disability are encouraged to apply.
Age18–50 (preferred, but not compulsory)
Language Proficiency Communication skills in English (or the language of instruction)

Requirement Details
Health & Fitness
Physically fit to perform plumbing tasks, including lifting, bending, working at heights, and in confined spaces
Legal Documentation South African Identity Document
Workplace Readiness Willingness and ability to travel to and work at host employer
sites for workplace training
Basic Tools & Safety Awareness
Exposure to or understanding of basic hand tools and safety principles is an advantage.

Desirable (Not Mandatory):
 Completion of a pre-apprenticeship or bridging programme (e.g., construction
or plumbing fundamentals)
 Prior experience in construction or building maintenance
 Commitment to completing the full learnership, including theoretical, practical,
and workplace components
 Committed and motivated individuals
 Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment
 Good communication and teamwork skills
