Job Description

Bookkeeper / Office Administrator (JB5445)
Edenvale, Gauteng
R20 000 to R25 000 a month CTC
Permanent

A highly specialised engineering company, operating in the compressed air solutions sector, is looking for a reliable and experienced Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to join their team in Edenvale. The company provides 24/7 compressor repair, servicing, and spare part supply for major brands across South Africa. This role offers a blend of front-line reception, office coordination, supplier liaison, and full-function bookkeeping responsibilities, ideal for a well-organised multitasker with strong accounting and administrative skills

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Office Administration (Advantageous)
3–5 years’ experience in a similar role with both admin and accounting responsibilities
Proficient in Sage Accounting and Payroll
Experience in bookkeeping to trial balance, VAT, PAYE, and bank reconciliations
Knowledge of Ostendo or Ariba SAP is (Beneficial)
Strong MS Office proficiency
Excellent communication skills
Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
Presentable and professional

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage reception duties: answering calls, welcoming clients, coordinating front office
Maintain and update safety files and compliance documentation
Track and validate induction and medical documentation for site entry
Full bookkeeping to trial balance, including VAT and PAYE submissions
Process employee leave and assist with payroll input
Reconcile bank statements and manage supplier payments
Generate and process purchase orders, supplier invoices, and customer invoicing
Liaise with suppliers and freight companies regarding stock collection and delivery
Ensure smooth daily office operations and support management as needed
Salary:
R 25 000,00 Monthly
