Job Description
Our client is a renowned Manufacturer of medical supplies, based in Midrand. They are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor who will oversee the daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, including raw materials, components, and finished products, while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
- Manage and organize team tasks, schedules, and performance.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.

Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, such as cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all inventory transactions.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and purchasing, to ensure smooth workflow.
- Manage warehouse equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines, including those related to medical supplies and hazardous materials.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or safety concerns.
- Comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.

Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain relevant documentation, such as inventory reports and shipping documents.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
- Handle any issues or problems that may arise in the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in warehouse operations and supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or medical supplies environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
