JOB VACANCY – TRANSPORT OPERATIONS CONTROLLER
COMPANY – FRANSEND FREIGHT LOGISTICS

JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:-

We seek a well matured individual who is focused and reliant.
Individual must have a drivers license and also be computer literate.
Individual must have a minimum of 5 years transport controlling experience.
Individual should have advanced knowledge of the below:-
• Tri Axles
• Flatbeds
• Superlinks
• Tautliners
Individual should have knowledge and be able to plan loads. This pertains to container as well as break bulk loads.
Must have port knowledge – be able to understand and utilize the Navis booking systems – understand and be able to handle import and exports – have knowledge on container depots as well as understand and effect deliveries in accordance to stack dates.
Individual must be able to communicate and liaise well with clients. They must have advanced driver communication skills – be able to brief and debrief drivers. Ensure all driver documentation etc collected timeously after each trip. Be able to work on tracking system and pull out reports when requested.
The person we require for this position must be able to work well under pressure, be prepared to work long hours and weekends.
