Job Description
(Award Winning Winery, Stellenbosch Wine Route) – Priority Position
We have a dynamic opportunity for an Assistant Wine Centre Manager at a well-known Wine Estate along the Stellenbosch Wine Route. The Winery is renowned for its award winning wines and curated guest experiences.
The ideal individual has excellent wine knowledge and is required to carry a WSET Level 2 qualification or similar. The individual must have a strong F&B and operational background, (restaurant experience will also be advantageous), must be highly service and guest centric, strong ability to lead and develop a team effectively. Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Requirements and Experience:
• WSET Level 2 or Similar Qualifications
• Hands-on approach to F&B operations
• Excellent operational skill set
• Training and staff performance management ability
• Confident and excellent communication skills
• Guest and service centric approach
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
• Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills
• Passion for the hospitality industry
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license will be beneficial
Examples of Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the smooth running of the daily wine centre operations and activities
• Being actively on the floor during service to ensure excellent guest interaction and service excellence
• Continues staff training and staff performance management
• Inventory management and supplier liaison
• Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
• General administrative duties: staff rosters, time and attendance, managing bookings and enquiries
Remuneration: R 20 000 CTC plus Sales Incentive
