Are you a creative and organized professional with a passion for event planning and fundraising? We are looking for a dedicated Events Coordinator and Proposal Writer to join our client’s team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for organising and managing a variety of events, while also contributing to the development of compelling grant proposals and sponsorship pitches to bolster our fundraising efforts. Requirements:
Education and Training:
• Tertiary Qualification social sciences, project management, public administration, marketing required
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, social science, public administration or related field ideal.
Experience:
• Experience within the non-profit environment with insight into effective fundraising strategies and donor engagement.
• Experience in event planning, proposal writing, and individual fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven track record of successful individual fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling donor appeals, proposals, and communications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience in fundraising is crucial.
• Experience with various fundraising methods such as individual giving, grant writing, corporate sponsorships, events, and online campaigns is beneficial.
• Proficiency in grant writing.
• Experience in researching funding opportunities.
• Experience in managing grant reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated solid experience in organising large events/conferences.
• Experience in cultivating and stewarding donor relationships is essential.
• Proven track record of developing successful sustainability strategies.
