Job Description

ELECTRICIAN
R25 000 – R23 000 NEG

Well known electrical company in Killarney Gardens in need of a suitable qualified Electrician that services the residential, industrial and commercial industries. The ideal candidate will be a qualified trade tested Electrician with specific skills and experience. Proven track record of wiring of single and three phase installations. Minimum of 3 – 4 years’ experience required.

You will be responsible for the following:

Assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment
Installation of electrical boxes, DB Boards, other enclosures, conduits (pipes, tubing, trunking), ground leads and connecting of power to different equipment / machinery
Wiring of circuit breakers, transformers and electrical equipment
Performing maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements on electrical equipment
Fault finding
Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule
Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Performing ad-hoc duties
Commercial and industrial electrical installation services (three phase and single phase)
Power continuity
Fault findings
Rectifying distribution boards
Securing all open joints
Ensure that equipment and machinery is maintained at the highest level and runs efficiently
Must adhere to the relevant electrical codes, procedures & safety policies
Experience with renewable energy and backup power systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electronic schematics
Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics to the component level

Qualifications
N3 equivalent Electrical qualification (NQF 4), Electrician Trade
Must be a qualified electrician with a valid trade tested certification through an accredited institution (single and three phase)
Must have a Wireman's License
Red Seal qualification will be adv.
Minimum of 3 - 4 years' experience within this industry
Minimum of 3 - 4 years' experience within this industry
Must have own vehicle and drivers’ license essential
