Job Description

Location : Sandton

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Company General Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our construction business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations of the company.

Responsibilities :
• Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the company.
• Oversee project management, scheduling, and quality control to ensure successful project completion.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff, including project managers, engineers, and construction workers.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of projects and teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Manage financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure safety standards and regulations are followed on all construction sites.
• Resolve conflicts and address issues that arise during construction projects.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and successful.

Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of successful project management and business development.
• Knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
