Job Description

The Inuversal Group is seeking a dynamic Clinical and Services Manager to join their Cape Town team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing clinical operations, administrative tasks, and driving sales within the healthcare facility. This role ensures the effective delivery of healthcare services, the smooth functioning of administrative processes, and the promotion of services to achieve sales targets. The manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage resources, and support business growth while ensuring patient care standards are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clinical Operations Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day clinical functions to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Monitor clinical performance and patient outcomes, implementing quality improvement initiatives when needed.

2. Administrative Oversight:
• Manage the administration team responsible for scheduling, billing, and patient records.
• Ensure accurate and efficient management of medical records, patient data, and invoicing.
• Coordinate between clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient experiences.
• Oversee the facility’s compliance with healthcare laws, including data privacy (such as POPIA compliance), staff licensing, and accreditation.

3. Sales and Business Development:
• Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to promote healthcare services and drive sales growth.
• Develop sales strategies to attract new clients/patients and expand service offerings.
• Identify potential partnerships, referral networks, and growth opportunities to increase revenue.
• Monitor sales performance and ensure that the clinic meets revenue and profitability targets.
• Engage with clients, corporate partners, and insurance companies to foster relationships and secure business.

4. Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, supervise, and mentor clinical, administrative, and sales teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across departments.
• Manage the recruitment, training, and development of clinical and administrative staff.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and implementing strategies for team improvement.

5. Budgeting and Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the budget for clinical services and administration, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising patient care.
• Monitor expenses, revenues, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the finance team to forecast future resource needs and sales goals.

6. Patient Care and Satisfaction:
• Ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Address patient complaints, concerns, and feedback, working to resolve issues and improve satisfaction.
• Implement patient retention strategies to build loyalty and encourage referrals.

7. Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure all clinical, administrative, and sales processes comply with legal and regulatory standards.
• Prepare for and oversee audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational and clinical risks.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical management, with experience in administration and/or sales functions.
o Proven experience in healthcare management, including staff supervision, practice management, and sales.

• Skills:
o Strong leadership and people management skills.
o In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and best practices.
o Proficient in sales strategies, business development, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
o Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
