Job Description
Our client is looking for a competent Contracts Manager to oversee coordinate project related activities, ensuring seamless execution from contract review and approval to timeline coordination and budget management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analysing and evaluating contract terms to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Identifying potential risks and proposing necessary modifications or amendments.
• Coordinate Project Timelines.
• Working closely with Finance Department to review and approve project budgets.
• Monitoring project expenses ensuring adherence to approved budgets and implementing necessary cost control measures.
• Negotiating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to establish mutually beneficial contract terms.
• Administering contracts, ensuring compliance, managing change orders, and resolving contractual disputes.
• Identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Monitoring and proactively addressing contractual and legal risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Primary point of contact for all contractual matters, maintaining effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Facilitating regular project status meetings and providing updates on contract-related issues and progress.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of contract documents, correspondence, and project-related information.
• Preparing regular reports on contract performance, project progress, and compliance for management review.
• Ensuring construction is in line with agreed construction programs and contracts, overseeing quality control and project completion phases/schedules.
• Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety Compliance in coordination with a construction safety officer.
• Identifying areas for process improvement.
• Implementing best practices, standard operating procedures, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in contract coordination.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
• Wide experience as a contracts Manager in a similar environment.
• Sound knowledge of site environments and workflow requirements.
• Good technical knowledge associated with site construction requirements.
• Advanced management skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Some Microsoft Office skills.
• Sound knowledge of general construction conditions.
Desired Experience and Qualification:
• B Tech or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• 8 years relevant site management experience in water retaining structures i.e., reservoirs, water treatment works, wastewater treatment works and construction.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
SALARY PACKAGE: Market Related
