Job Description

Cannery Workers are responsible for working in a cannery to prepare and process food products for packaging. They must have excellent manual dexterity to perform their duties efficiently. Duties include sorting and grading fruits and vegetables, operating machinery for canning and packaging, inspecting canned goods for quality, and ensuring that production levels are met.

Cannery Worker Duties
Operate canning machinery
Pack products in cans
Fill cans with product
Seal cans shut
Label and package cans
Inspect cans for defects
Maintain and clean equipment
Monitor quality of products
