Ob Title: Telesales / Retentions Consultant
Location: Remote / Virtual

Compensation: Salary + Commission + Attendance Bonus

Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing and Lead Generation

Arrange Virtual Meetings: Schedule Zoom or MS Teams appointments for advisors, ensuring a structured and seamless client experience from the first point of contact.
Coordinate Client Reviews: Update review dates on the CRM platform (preferably XPlan), create tasks for follow-ups, and maintain impeccable records of all client interactions.
Cross-Selling: Proactively target the existing customer database to present additional products or services. You’ll use persuasive scripts and clarify benefits in a professional, friendly manner.
Convert Leads to Sales: Identify fresh opportunities to bring on new clients and enhance existing relationships. Confidently explain products, pricing, and special offers to encourage immediate conversions.
Data Entry: Capture new leads and client information accurately on the CRM package, ensuring up-to-date, high-quality data that can be leveraged for future campaigns.
Follow-Ups: Reach out to potential clients who have shown interest but haven’t yet committed, addressing their concerns and facilitating the quote and consent process.
Campaign Management: Support marketing strategies by executing well-defined campaigns and engaging in in-house servicing. You’ll track progress, overcome objections, and consistently close deals.

2. Business Retention

Arrear Premium Management: Diligently capture arrear premiums in the system and proactively pursue outstanding payments. Quickly identify the root causes of premium lapses and develop effective strategies to secure payments.
Client Retention Focus: Maintain retention levels at or above 90%; lapse ratios must not exceed 10%. You will be instrumental in sustaining long-term client relationships through consistent follow-ups and high-touch communication.

3. Meeting Targets

Ambitious Goals: Strive to meet and exceed personal and team-based targets. Show initiative in identifying new sales pathways and increasing retention rates.
Professional Demeanor: Exhibit polished communication skills, speaking confidently and clearly with clients and colleagues. Ensure a positive brand image in all client interactions.
Compliance Adherence: Uphold FAIS and FICA standards, ensuring that all client interactions are fully compliant with legal requirements. Keep meticulous notes and documentation in the Customer Debtor System (CDS).
Up-to-Date Records: Verify that customer details are consistently maintained and accurate. Document any changes, such as contact information or policy updates, in real time.

Requirements

Regulatory Exam 5 (RE5): You must hold an RE Certificate, proving your comprehensive understanding of South African financial services regulations.
FAIS Compliance: Demonstrated ability to work within the FAIS framework, ensuring ethical and lawful client engagements at all times.
Sales Experience: A minimum of one year’s experience selling Short-Term Insurance, Life Products, or Banking Products. You possess the ability to adapt to various client scenarios and explain product benefits convincingly.
Software Proficiency: Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and preferably XPlan (or a similar CRM package). The ability to navigate technology seamlessly in a remote setting is vital.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, enabling you to connect with a diverse client base, handle objections, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Organizational Skills: You excel in prioritizing tasks, managing follow-ups, and keeping accurate records, even when juggling multiple responsibilities.
Self-Motivation: Comfortable working from home, you are disciplined, take initiative, and always complete tasks within deadlines. You remain focused under minimal supervision.
Client-Centric Mindset: Strong passion for customer care, with a commitment to improving retention and increasing overall client happiness.
