Mechanical Technicians

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing mechanical systems and machinery. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of operations in an industrial or mining environment.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs

Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment, such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulics.
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
Replace or repair worn-out parts, ensuring adherence to OEM standards.
Installation and Commissioning

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
Ensure alignment, calibration, and proper functioning of machinery.
Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including fault reports and service history.
Generate reports on equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Health and Safety

Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols during maintenance and repair activities.
Participate in risk assessments and safety inspections.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background:

Diploma or N6 in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:

3-5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment in an industrial or mining environment.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
