Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of human resources functions at our manufacturing site in Cape Town. This role will offer you the opportunity to influence key HR initiatives, manage talent acquisition, ensure compliance, and drive employee engagement in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of HR processes, and experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee recruitment, ensuring alignment with Employment Equity goals, managing job advertisements, interviews, background
checks, and smooth onboarding.
• Drive BBBEE compliance, manage the Employment Equity forum, and oversee skills development, learnerships, and training
initiatives.
• Lead dispute resolution, manage grievances and disciplinary proceedings, and ensure adherence to all Labour laws. Experience with
CCMA procedures is essential.
• Manage workforce performance, coaching, training, and development programs, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Partner with senior leadership to address current and future talent needs, aligning HR strategy with business goals.
• Foster a positive organizational culture, aligned with company values, while ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and industry
regulations.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (non-negotiable).
• Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior HR role within a manufacturing or industrial
environment.
Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong expertise in HR policies, Labour laws, and compliance.
• Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
• Proficient in HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Desired Skills:
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
• Ability to manage complex HR matters with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to continuous learning and improvement in HR practices.
